Pili line (House of Pili, Pili dynasty; Hawaiian language: ''Hale o Pili'') was a royal house in ancient Hawaii that ruled over the island of Hawaiʻi.〔(''Royal family of Hawaii'', str. Christophera Buyersa )〕 It was founded on unknown date by the King Pilikaaiea (Pili),〔Abraham Fornander, ''An Account of the Polynesian Race: Its Origin and Migrations'', Rutland, VT: Charles E. Tuttle Company, 1969.〕 who was born in Tahiti, but came to Hawaii and established his own dynasty〔''Social Performance: Symbolic Action, Cultural Pragmatics, And Ritual'' by Jeffrey C. Alexander, Bernhard Giesen, Jason L. Mast, (p. 157 ).〕 of kings (''Aliʻi''). His parents were named Kukamolimaulialoha and Laʻau.〔''Kumu Hawaii''. 1835.〕 According to the myth, he was a descendant of the god of sky, Wākea.
